I finally discovered that you have to MANUALLY extract all the loops that download with the program. If I chose File > New there was nothing to compose with. What appeared to be missing in my original download were ANY loops at all to create a new music composition. Update: The manufacturer responded that there is a coupon provided with purchase that allows the user to get loops - but that coupon is good for 1 choice of an extra loop package.
VERY DISAPPOINTED IN BOTH SONY AND AMAZON! All I got was the console to create music in. My original review: $40+ bucks and NO LOOPS.
